OK, so luckily it didn't really happen, but it could have. We were at the dog park yesterday and there were too many black dogs to count on my paws, but I can tell you there were lots. I could tell my human was confused trying to find me and my sister who is also black.
Has anyone ever been left at a park? I know my human was almost given the wrong black dog at day care once, but she was paying attention that day.
How have you prepared for that day you get left while some other black dog takes off with your human?
I know my human is bound to do something like that, she's a yellow haired girl.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Prince

Heeyyyyy, now! Is that a dig against blonds?? I'm a blond, and I'd NEVER leave my boy or take a different pup home!
Now, many years ago, my *MOM* almost brought the wrong doggie home. My previous black Lab. Navarre, had gotten out, and some people who also owned a couple of black Labs found him. (Or rather, they took him away from several kids that he was hanging around with. Thankfully they somehow knew he did not belong to those kids. ) I was at work, and couldn't get away, so my mom went to pick him up. My mom visited with the people for a few minutes, and almost started to take the wrong dog home! They all looked real similar to her. Thankfully he had tags on his collar, so there could be no real mix-up. And the people were nice and understood about the confusion. I would have known my boy, no probelm. But since my mom spent less time with him, she was easily confused. (I think my brother may have been at work also, as he would have known which dog was ours. )
Anyway, that's the closest I've come to taking the wrong dog home, because of my mom. -
